Brown fused aluminum oxide, also known as brown fused alumina or BFA, is produced from bauxite, which is an indispensable mineral material used in national defense, aviation, automotive, refractory and many other industries, and is purified in electric arc furnaces, then crushed into particles and screened to different size ranges for various usages.
Its characteristics of high bulk density (≥3.9g/cm3), high hardness (≥9.0 Mohs), high heat resistance (maximum 1900°c), high cleanliness and chemical stability make it an excellent material as blasting media, bonded abrasives and coated abrasives, and also for refractory applications.
